Good morning, Brilliant Leader Reader:
Welcome to this Week's Dose of Operational Strategy.
This week, we're talking about Your Business May Be Showing Operational Symptoms and needs a Check-Up. Plus, I'm sharing another AI for Brilliant Leaders tip for your Google-added Gemini to the Admin Console. Let's dive in!
______________________________
Sometimes your business will tell you that something isn't working long before you realize you have a real problem.
- The follow-up that didn't happen.
- The document you know you saved somewhere, but now nobody can find it.
- The process that only one person knows how to do.
- The inbox that has gotten completely out of control.
- The task you keep doing manually every week because you've never taken the time to figure out a better way.
- The client who didn't receive something because everyone thought someone else had handled it.
Individually, these things may seem small.
You fix it, apologize, resend the email, find the document, work late, or add another reminder to your calendar, and then you keep moving.
But what happens when the same things keep happening?
At some point, you have to stop treating the symptom and figure out what is causing it. That is true for your business too.
As an Administrative Strategist and AI Integrator, what I look at is what is happening behind the scenes.
- Where are things falling through the cracks?
- Where are you losing time?
- What are you doing manually that could be streamlined?
- Where is there no documented process?
- Where are you depending on memory instead of having a system?
- And where could AI help make the work easier and more efficient?
You don't necessarily need to know what the solution is. You need to recognize the symptom, and that is exactly why I created something new.
The Administrative ER Intensive
This is not another workshop where you sit for 90 minutes, take pages of notes, and then go back to the same problem. Share with me one real administrative or operational issue happening in your business.
- We're going to look at it.
- We're going to determine what is really happening behind it.
- And we're going to begin identifying what needs to change.
- Think of it as bringing your business into the Administrative ER.
- You bring the symptom. We'll work through the diagnosis, and you'll leave with a clearer understanding of what needs attention and what you need to do next.

AI Tip: Google Just Added Gemini to the Admin Console
If you manage your own Google Workspace account, this is one you need to know about. Google has introduced Admin Assist, which brings Gemini directly into the Google Admin Console.
There are two new features:
Gemini Sidepanel
If you're a Super Admin, you can ask Gemini questions inside the Admin Console and get step-by-step guidance for managing settings, troubleshooting issues, and completing administrative tasks.
Search Overviews
Instead of searching through multiple Google Help articles trying to figure out what to do, you can ask a question in the Admin Console search bar. Gemini can summarize the relevant Google Help information and give you recommended next steps.
Why I Think This Matters
Many small business owners manage their own Google Workspace accounts, or have one person on their team who is not an IT professional handle it.
That means something as simple as changing a setting can turn into searching Google, opening several Help articles, and trying to figure out which instructions actually apply.
Admin Assist can help reduce some of that searching by bringing the guidance directly into the Admin Console.
Important: This is currently for Super Admins only and is available to Google Workspace Business Starter, Business Standard, and Business Plus customers.

Until next week.
